I had the joy of visiting the City Gallery at Waterfront Park to see The Gift of Sound—my painting featured in this year’s Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition. To walk into the gallery during Spoleto season and see my work hanging alongside so many talented artists was truly humbling.
This piece is close to my heart. It celebrates cochlear implants and the beauty of communication—an important theme in my work. I’m deeply grateful to this year’s juror, Zinnia Willits, for including The Gift of Sound in such a thoughtful and inspiring show.
One of the highlights was seeing the incredible talent from across South Carolina. I was especially excited to see Marion Mason’s striking sculpture, along with beautiful works by Deborah Kinard and Charles Hite. It’s an honor to share space with such gifted artists!
If you’re in Charleston during Spoleto, I encourage you to visit the exhibit—it runs through June 8 at the City Gallery, beside Waterfront Park and the Pineapple Fountain. The creativity and heart in this year’s show is well worth experiencing.
I’m truly honored to be part of this year’s Piccolo Spoleto Exhibition and grateful to celebrate the vibrant art community here in South Carolina.
See you out there!
