Handcrafted Pottery

Danielle Jones creates functional pottery and sculptural ceramic work inspired by the landscapes, waterways, and gathering traditions of Charleston and the Sea Islands. Working through both wheel throwing and hand building, she creates pieces that balance beauty and utility, objects designed to be used, shared, and enjoyed in everyday life.
Her work ranges from functional tableware and serving pieces to sculptural forms that explore texture, movement, and the relationship between natural materials. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted by hand, allowing the character of the clay and process to remain visible.
Danielle serves as Resident Potter at The Goatery at Kiawah River and teaches pottery classes and workshops on Johns Island. Her work is carried by Kiawah River Finery, The Old Charleston Trading Company and Local Love CHS, and Seabrook Island Real Estate. She accepts a limited number of custom commissions each year.
In 2026, Danielle’s ceramic and reed sculpture Undertow was selected for the the Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition, one of Charleston's premier visual arts exhibitions.
New work is released throughout the year, with pieces available through select Lowcountry retailers and directly from The Faithful Oak.
Studio Practice & Availability
Functional pottery, sculptural work, and select commissioned pieces are available throughout the year. Custom commissions are accepted on a limited basis, with lead times varying based on project scope and studio schedule.
