Danielle Jones creates functional pottery and sculptural ceramic work inspired by the landscapes, waterways, and gathering traditions of Charleston and the Sea Islands. Working through both wheel throwing and handbuilding, she creates pieces that balance beauty and utility—objects designed to be used, shared, and enjoyed in everyday life.

Her work ranges from functional tableware and serving pieces to larger sculptural forms that explore texture, movement, and the relationship between natural materials. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted by hand, allowing the character of the clay and process to remain visible.

Danielle serves as Resident Potter at The Goatery at Kiawah River and teaches pottery classes and workshops at The Red Barn Art Studio on Johns Island. Her work is carried by Kiawah River Finery, The Old Charleston Trading Company and Local Love CHS, and she accepts a limited number of custom commissions each year.

​

In 2026, one of her ceramic and reed sculptures was selected for inclusion in the Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition, one of Charleston's premier visual arts exhibitions.
